Before and After Hours Check In and Check Out Procedures

Before and/or After Hours Procedures

  • Please enter the camp on Twining Road and exit onto Woodland Road. The driveway going through the camp is one-way going from Twining Road to Woodland Road. Remember to drive slowly and with extreme caution as this one-way driveway goes through the camp property!!! Camp speed limit is 5 mph!

  • In the morning – you may have your child/children arrive at camp at 7:45 am, but no earlier.

  1. A Before Hours counselor will greet you as you drive into camp near the main house/office, opposite the lunch pavilion, and will help escort your child out of your car.

  2. You will need to sign the Before Hours Log Book with the date, time, and your signature.

  3. In the event that your child is ill and will not be attending camp on a specific day, please call the office between 8:00 and 8:30 am so that we can place the camper’s name on the absentee list.

  4. Before Hours campers will remain in the lunch pavilion. The camp provides playing cards, games, crafts, and coloring books while being supervised.

  • In the afternoon - please pick up your child/children by 5:45 pm, and no later.

  1. Your child will be with the After Hours counselors at the lunch pavilion immediately following dismissal.

  2. The camp provides After Hours campers with a nut free snack (cold water always available). If your child has a food allergy or medical condition that requires specialized snacks, you may bring your own snack to be kept at camp with your child’s name on it. Please notify the office with details and indicate on the health form.

  3. Procedures for After Hours pickup: Park your vehicle in the parking area, and then check your child out with the After Hours counselors. If it is not raining, they will be located in the lunch pavilion, the ga-ga court area, or the playground. In the event of rain or extreme heat, After Hours will be located in the main house with air conditioning. If you are going to be late due to an emergency situation, please contact the office ASAP.

  • In the event that your child’s regular driver will not be the driver picking up your child/children from camp on a specific day, please call the office as soon as possible to let us know who the driver will be for that day. They will be required to show the office a photo I.D. and must be on the list of authorized drivers (as noted on your enrollment form) for your child. To add authorized people, fill out our Camper Pick-Up Authorization Form and return to the office as soon as possible. http://www.burnbraedaycamp.com/forms/
